Day 11

Verona & Venice

semi-overcast 30 °C
View Europe with a bit of Asian twist on Szufan's travel map.

Today we had a new driver because the driver had to have certain hours of rest between their hours of driving. Our previous driver, Marek from Poland will still join us later on the trip.

As we headed towards Venice, we had a quick stop over in Verona, it was the area where the story of Romeo and Juliet was located. They created a tourist site called the Balcony of Juliet and lots of people went to take photos. I was more into the actual historic site so I wasn’t all that excited about the site. The day was hot and made me a little grumpy.

We arrived around 5:30pm at our hotel in Venice. It was decent enough and we had two double beds in our room. I would say this would be at least twice as big as our accommodation in Paris. We stayed at hotel for a provided dinner which was very nice then we headed back to our room to do some laundry. It was hard to spare time to go to a laundry service (mostly because we were just so tired from walking and they were not always close by!)

Today was probably one of those boring drive days that I couldn’t share much so I’d just finish here :P
